Cannonball was a run of the mill syndicated TV series from 1958. Starring long time B Movie actor Paul Birch as Mike Malone, it was a trucking TV show and they always seem to find a core audience. It only lasted one season, but amazingly it is a viewer favorite on the 'Action Channel' of Tv4U.Com. Month in and month out, it is highly watched. It is also quite popular on the TV4U on HP 15 channel service that is embedded on HP laptops via their Media Smart program.
The good news is that the programmers at the TVS Television Network, who program the TVS
Action Channel (it can be found on TV4U.Com and directly at TVSTelevision.Net) are responding to the viewer mail regarding Cannonball and are presently getting ready to add more episodes.
If you are a fan of the show, there's no doubvt that you can sing the theme song! What a blast from the past!

William Shatner and Adam West Combine To Make The Worst TV Show Ever!
Alexander the Great was an unsold pilot from the early 1960's that has the distinction of being perhaps the worst show ever made or TV. To start with, it's nothing more than a formula western, only the actors were dressed in Sword & Sandal garb instead of a Cowboy motiff. The performance by Shatner is truly indescribable, although Adam West is just as unwittingly campy as his wing man. There are two other Shatner 'classics' on TV4U.Com if you're in the mood.....a 'dramatic' reading on Mike Douglas (see the Talk channel on TV4U.Com) and the worst movie ever made, White Commanche on Spaghetti Western Theater in the Western Channel of TV4U.Com. Has to be seen to be believed! Plus- the execs at TVS Television Network are efforting to add several more Shatner delights, including the incomprehensible 'Rocketman'.

Gangster Story on Action Theater is Walter Matthau Classic
Walter Matthau had been batting around Hollywood as a character actor for several years when he decided that the only way to be a star was to make his own movie. The result was Gangster Story. He got his wife Carol Grace to co-star and bankrolled a spartan but very decent potboiler.
Matthau also directed the flick, which was the last time he ever tried that! Interesting to see that he saw himself as a Mike Hammer type detective. The gambit worked and Matthau made the transition from character actor to star. Time, of course, saw him as one of filmdon's finest character comediens.
